Roxcena (Lalor) Goodman was born on May 23, 1898 to Charles and Lillian Stryker Orr in Troy Township. She attended the Troy Township Schools.

In 1912, she was united in marriage to Raymond Francis Lalor and to this union, nine children were born including five sons and four daughters.

Surviving are: Wayne Lalor, California; Raymond Lalor, Fort Dodge; Roger Lalor, Iowa Falls; David Lalor, Ligonier, Ind.; Hermie (Mrs. Richard) Wingerson, Fort Dodge; Betty (Mrs. Tom) Smith, Fort Dodge; Mary (Mrs. Jack) Battin, Philadelphia, Pa.; and Maxine (Mrs. Leonard) Smith, Webster City. Also, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Abbie Conway and one brother, Earl Orr, both of Eagle Grove.

The Lalors left Eagle Grove in 1935 and moved to Hardy, Iowa then later moved to Fort Dodge. Mr. Lalor died in 1951.

On June 4, 1967, Roxcena was united in marriage to Leonard M. Goodman and they made their home in Eagle Grove. Mr. Goodman died January 31, 1986.

Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Jerry Lalor, three brothers and five sisters. In December 1982, she went to make her home at Rotary Ann in Eagle Grove. She passed away on Monday September 8, 1986, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home attaining the age of 88 years, three months and 15 days.
