SYLVIA - Floyd Ankerholz, 90, died Oct. 13, 2005, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 5, 1915, in rural Sylvia. A resident of Sylvia for most of his life, he was employed in the construction of gasoline manufacturing plants.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Cremation is planned. A private burial of ashes will be in Sylvia Cemetery. Minnis Chapel, Stafford, is in charge of arrangements.
Surivvors include: wife, Evelyn; a son, Don, Fort Stockton, Texas; a stepson, Tom Folger, Houston; two sisters, Vada Austin, Pratt, and Iolene Proctor, Overland Park; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
