Mr. William Thomas Felker succumbed to a three weeks illness Sunday morning, December 23, at the Booneville hospital where he had been a patient. He was eighty-five years of age. Funeral services conducted by Mr. Athelston Crowson and the Rev. G. P. Mayo were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at Little Brown Church, and the body was laid to rest in the family plot in the church cemetery.
Mr. Felker was born in Tishomingo County but had spent most of his life in this section as a farmer. His wife, the former Sallie McCoy, died in 1930.
Surviving are three sons, Frank Felker and Lee Felker of Booneville, and A. C. Felker of Lexington, Tenn. One brother, John Felker of Holcut, and five sisters, Mrs. Ann McAnnally of Duck Hill, Mrs. Minerva Mayo of Booneville, Mrs. Caroline McAnnally of Guntown, Mrs. Lou Grimes of Holcut, and Mrs. Vina Humphreys of Birmingham, Ala., also survive. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
