Alvin Leon Gerkin was born on October 25, 1941, and died March 9, 1942. He is survived by his parents, three sisters, Elizabeth Rose, Viola Mae, Vivian Lucille, and one brother, Robert Clayton. One brother preceded him in death in 1931. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Seth Thomas of Williams, Ind.
He was taken sick Wednesday, March 4, and died at a Fort Dodge hospital at 8 o'clock, March 9, 1942.
Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Wilson's Funeral Chapel with Rev. W. P. Clark of Central Church of Christ, Fort Dodge, in charge, and interment was on the family lot in Troy cemetery.
