HAYES - Haley Ambrose Coates, age 92, died at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital, July 6, 2005. Haley was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; two sons, Edster and Edward Coates, as well as grandsons, Richard Coates, Tommy Coates, Bobby Coates and Scott Coates. Survivors include three sisters, Lolita Ambrose Jenkins, Bessie Ambrose and Joyce Ambrose Hogge; one grandson, Ronnie Coates and wife, Lori, two granddaughters, Brenda Martin and husband, Darrell, Kim Brown and husband, Neal; nine great-grandchildren; and special friend Edith Keel. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Donald Ambrose at Providence Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 3501 Providence Road, Hayes, VA 23072.
