NEWSPAPER ARTICE:

Carroll friends have received word of the death of H. E. Everson at Carson Ia., which occurred Thursday, November 3. He had been ill most of the summer. Death was the result of pernicious anemia and complications. Mrs. Everson is survived by his widow, who will be remembers as Miss Nell V. Rummell of Glidden, formerly a teacher in the north side school building here.

...Hartz of Macedonia and Mr. Howard Everson of this place. The loving wife preceded him to the spirit world, having departed August 12, 1923. On December 24, 1925 he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie V. Rummel who with the son and daughter and two grandsons, Charles Edward and Robert Eugene Everson survive him.

He was converted in early life and gave his heart to Christ, uniting with the Presbyterian Church. He was a good man, honored and respected by all who knew him. He was devoted to his home, a kind, loving father, a good husband and a faithful friend. His passing leaves a vacancy in the home and communtiy that is vitally felt.

He leaves to mourn his departure, besides his loving wife, children, and grandchildren, brothers and sisters as follows: I. W. Everson of Griswold, Mrs. Rose Bloom of Woodlake, Neb., Mrs. Minnie Hillman of Indianola, Mrs. Gertrude Hector of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and John I. Everson and a great host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, November 5, 1932 at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. P. H. Green assisted by Rev. J. S. Wood. Favorite hymns were sung by a mixed quartette, Mr. W. Allensworth, Mr. A. C. Sivers, Mrs. Clifton Buckingham and Mrs. Roy King. The pall bearers were his son Howard and nephews Ople and Dale Everson, Dale and Lyndie Fenn and Ray Elswick.

Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. John Everson, Mr. Arthur Newman of El Reno, Okla; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bloom of Woodlake, Neb.; Mrs. Minnie Hillman of Indianola; Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Everson and Dale of Griswold; Mr. and Mrs. Ople Everson of Hornck; Misses Beryl and Blanch Everson, Mrs. Clyde Kingsley of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Chas. Field of Cedar Rapids.
