Richard Robert Karas
age 86, of Belleville, MI, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, MI. He was born July 4, 1927 in Monroe County, MI, son of John & Mary (Molenda) Karas.
He was a lifelong Belleville area resident and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville.
Survived by his wife, Anna Mary (Maciok) Karas, a son David Edwin Karas, three brothers John (Geneva) Karas and Kenneth Karas, both of Westland, MI and Michael (Joan) Karas of Ann Arbor, MI, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother Leonard Karas.
Visitation will be Friday 2-8 PM with a 6:00 PM scripture service at David C. Brown Temporary Viewing & Funeral Chapel, 500 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville. Visitation will also be 11-12 Saturday with a funeral service at noon at the Temporary Chapel. Father Thomas H. Cusick will officiate. Interment will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
