David Allen Decker, age 51, of Anderson passed away suddenly on Monday December 23, 2013 at St. Vincent Regional Hospital, Anderson. Born on May 17, 1962, in Muncie, he was the son of Garland and Garnetta (Stewart) Decker.

David worked as a welder and traveled extensively, often accompanied by his wife Crystal. He was also a member of Laborers International Union of North America Local #1112. David was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and camping. He was an excellent cook and loved cooking for family gatherings. His most prized possession was a 1932 Ford Coupe which showed off the Hotrod enthusiast, who enjoyed giving the grandkids rides and going down to the drag strip.

Survivors include loving wife of 10 years Crystal Decker of Anderson; children Paula Ryden and Sara (Freddie) Decaudin both of Fishers, IN; 8 grandchildren Sophie, Nicholas, Noah, Austin, Cami, Forrest, Cameron, and Bryce; brothers John W. (Patti) Decker of Yorktown, IN and Gary L. Decker of Eaton, IN; several nieces and nephews; favorite pet cats Tommy and Oreo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Brenda Kay Crouse, and a nephew Justin Decker.
