Evelyn Frisque, 79, Green Bay resident, died Sunday, March 16, 2003, in a local nursing home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Berlin, Wis., to the late Guy and Alice (Chase) Farvour.
Evelyn served in the U.S. Army during World War II. She served as a Medical Aid-man while stationed in California.
Evelyn married Robert Frisque in 1957 at First United Church of Christ. He preceded her in death in 1993.
She was employed by Wisconsin Bell from 1947 until her retirement in 1976. Evelyn was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband and daughter, shoe shopping, embroidery and playing bingo.
Evelyn was a longtime member of First United Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Doreen; three sisters; four brothers; two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Farvour and four brothers, Alfred, Edgar, Bernard and Theodore Farvour.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 5 to 8 p.m. (TODAY) Tuesday and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of service. Funeral -Service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Hatch officiating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
