After high school Donny attended Louisiana Tech and briefly worked as the Sports Editor for the Ruston Daily Leader. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served aboard the USS Joseph Strauss where he distinguished himself and the crew while providing fire off the coast of Vietnam.
Donny had three great loves in life. First and foremost was his love of his extensive family. He loved his son and his family more than anything and had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins spread all over the world. Next he loved Ruston High School and all those that attended and next was his love of sports especially those teams that represented the State of Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers Donny would want you to make a donation to assist his family with funeral expenses.
He will be missed by family and friends, may he rest in peace.
