Mae was born Dec. 12, 1903 to
Rudolf C. and Bertha (Roby) Kraemer
on the family farm in Alta. She was baptized
into the Christian faith on May 11,
1913. She received her education at
Rosedale Country School and Fairview
Consolidated School for two years. She
was employed about four years by the
Linn Grove Telephone Company.
She was confirmed by Pastor O. Bahr
of St. Johns Lutheran Church at
Hanover near Alta on April 9,1940.
She married Clarence Huseman on
Jan. 4,1939 at Spencer. They established
their home in Storm Lake. Her husband
passed away suddenly of a heart attack
Feb. 17, 1944. She remained in their
home helping others in the family as
needed.
She transferred her membership to
St. John's Lutheran. Church in Storm
Lake, where she served as president of
Ladies Aid. She was also vice president of
L.M.W.L. On April 12, 1981 she transferred
her membership to Grace Lutheran
Church in Storm Lake.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; her husband Clarence; three sisters;
two brothers; and a nephew, Roger
Peterson.
