Alice Mae Banks Stinnette, 62, of Lynch Station, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998 in the Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1936 in Altavista, a daughter of Lillian Luper Arthur of Altavista and the late Banner Banks. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Alfred Lee Stinnette Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly S. and Dennis Oliver, Lynchburg; a son and daughter-in-law, A. Lee Jr. and Sonya Stinnette, Lynch Station; a grandson, Jason L. Jennings; a granddaughter, Meredith Brooke Stinnette both of Lynch Station; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert R. and Nadine Banks, Spartanburg, S.C.
A graveside service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 1998 from the Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery by Lory Brafford. Friends may call after 11 a.m. today and the family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston and other times at the residence of the son, 340 Windsong Drive, Lynch Station, Va. 24571.
