Anna Lee Ballard, 79,of Van Buren died Monday, June 6, 2005, in a local nursing home. She was a homemaker, of the Protestant faith, played the guitar and loved music. She was a longtime resident of Crawford County and was preceded in death by her husband, Horace W. Ballard; parents, Burl and Leona Moore Nichols; four brothers; and seven sisters.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

She is survived by three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
