Mrs. Mary Ann Jones passed away on Feb. 28 1922 at Sacred Heart Hospital death being caused by infirmities of old age. She was born in the state of Indiana Nov. 14 1838 and was there united to Mr. Jacob Jones April 30 1855. In the pioneer days they came and settled in Dunn county near Rock Falls. Mr. Jones passed away in 1903. To this union were born (?)fourteen children of whom 12 survive, 6 sons, 6 daughters, Mrs. Peter Melrose, Mrs. Sam Bradshaw, Mrs. Geo. Harris and Mrs. Andrew Winget of this city(Eau Claire), Mrs. John Sever of Colfax and Mrs. Jake Thomas of Colfax, Mrs. George W. Jones of Minot, N.D., Robert A. Jones, T.P. Jones, Jacob Jones of Boville, Ida., Chas. Jones of Minneapolis, Minn. and Frank Jones.
