George Henry McCullough Jr was born on November 21, 1939 in Sumner County, Tennessee, the son of George Henry McCullough Sr (1915–2001) and Vera Dell (Pruitt) McCullough (1911–1999).
He married Charlotte Inez (Green) (McCullough) Taylor (1941–2003) in 1965 as her 1st husband.
A truck driver for Pure Oil Company and living on Maple Street in Gallatin, Sumner County, George Jr was 26 years old and married when on March 26, 1966 the truck/trailer he was driving and a car collided and he received extensive burns over much of his body. He died on April 15, 1966 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, and burial was the next day in Crestview Memory Gardens, Gallatin.
