Nancy's father was Charles Laughner of Latrobe. He died on July 5, 1906 from injuries suffered after being hit by a train. The tragedy happened near Garrett, MD according to a newspaper article. He was survived by his wife Anna and his daughter Nancy and son Lawrence.
