Gladys Marion Anderson
(1920 - 2013)

Gladys Anderson passed away December 14, 2013 at the age of 93.

Gladys was born in 1920 in Pennsylvania to Walter and Margaret Binkley, tenant farmers on land that is now Tyler State Park. She left Pennsylvania in 1948, traveling by train with her young daughter and son to Springfield, where they made their home. In 1951, she married Charles Anderson and their son was born in 1954. Gladys and Charles moved to Eugene in 1960 and she remained in Eugene for the rest of her life.

Gladys most enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She loved to play cards and games with her friends at Kingsley Court Retirement Center.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ellis and son-in-law, Bob Ellis, and by her son, George Anderson and daughter-in-law, Lynn Daniels-Anderson.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan Eggleston and family, Teresa Quesenberry and family, and Audie Eggleston and family. To them she will remain forever their "Peachie." In addition, she is survived by granddaughters, Linda Williams and Sheila Mackliet.

Her family will always remember, with great gratitude, Ryan, Brynn, and Judy, her caregivers at Sanborn Manor. They made a home for her.

Hospice of Sacred Heart provided care for Gladys and, by extension, for the family. We will be always grateful for the kindness and caring of the hospice nurses.

Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
