Services for Mr. Woodrow Hanson will be held January 14, 1989 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Kibbe officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Don Markham, Howard Grooms, Terry Newman, Vernon Ottmers, Leroy Joppie, Leon Sheppard and David Bebee, honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Knott and Alton Kneese.
Mr. Hanson died Thursday, January 12, 1989 at a local hospital. He was born May 15, 1918 in Charcol, he married Mary Lee Taylor May 4, 1942 in Kerrville. He served in the US Air Force during WWII. A resident of Kerrville since 1949, he had been an auto maintenance mechanic at the Kerrville State Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors included his wife Mary Lee Hanson; two daughters, Beth Hanson Garrett of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Bonnie Lee Hanson Leatherman of Warner, Oklahoma; two sisters Irene Deres of San Antonio and Rosella Judge of Terrell: six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International. Kerrville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
