Last Saturday morning John Gatchel died in Lilly Dale, this county, at the age of 75 years. He had resided there many years and was one of the most esteemed farmers of that area and had gone through the Civil War from the beginning to the end. His burial took place on Sunday from the Methodist Church there to the cemetery near Lilly Dale. May he rest in peace.
