Shirley Ione Jacobson was born on Sept. 30, 1927, at Nunda to Adolph and Mattie (Johnson) Jacobson. She grew up in Madison, where she graduated from General Beadle High School. She married Arnold Larson on Jan. 8, 1948, at Pipestone, Minn. She worked in the cafeteria at Madison High School for more than 25 years until her retirement.
She had been a resident at Eventide Assisted Living in Moorhead, Minn., and Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo for the past seven years.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Georgia) of Sioux Falls, and Donald (Desire'e) of Fargo; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two stepdaughters, Linda Janssen of Sioux Falls, and Donna (Ron) Erickson of Gilbert, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; two sons in infancy; and her husband, Arnold in 1998.
