Cupples
Ivy Robert "Slim" Cupples died Saturday night in the Minden Medical Center following an extended illness. He was 96.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Brushwood Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Spurlock and Rev. Paul Durbin officiating. Burial will be in the Brushwood Cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Mr. Cupples was a retired farmer and a member of the Brushwood Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Marshall Cupples, Minden; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Greene and Mrs. Hazel McGurk, Minden and Mrs. Francine Gandy, Jacksonville, Florida; three sisters, Mrs. Ola Wheelus of Monroe, Mrs. Luther Wheelus, Winnsboro, and Mrs. John McDonald, Delhi; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bud Perryman, Mickey Perryman, George McAdams, Jack Martin, Donald Wright, and Doyle Rhame.
