George Lawrence Hathaway, a well known citizen of Carmichaels, died in the Waynesburg hospital, Wednesday morning, October 29, at 3:40 o'clock.

The past summer Mr. Hathaway spent two months in travel abroad, returning home September 12. A few days afterward he
accidentally fell, receiving injuries so serious as later to cause his death.

Mr Hathaway was the youngest son of John W and Ary Anderson Hathaway, deceased, of Cumberland township and was born April 19, 1866, being 58 years of age.

He cared for his aged mother during the seven years of her invalidism and was a most devoted son. He had a genial disposition and will be greatly missed by everyone in the community in which he had spent his entire life.

Three brothers, Charles Y, William A and John Jacob Hathaway, all of Carmichaels and one sister, Mrs. Albert McGinnis of Marshall, Mo, survive. The funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm. Interment in Laurel Point Cemetery.
