ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Services for Annie Mae Stevens, 86, of Albuquerque were held March 27 at French Mortuary with Kevin Owen officiating.

She died Sunday, March 24, 2002.

She was born in 1915 in Hall County, Texas, and graduated from Amherst High School in 1934. She married Dean Stevens in 1939 and had been a resident of Albuquerque since then. She was chief operator for the telephone company in Muleshoe and an employee of Galles Motor Company in Albuquerque. She was a member of the Church of Christ for about 75 years. She was also an avid sports fan, and enjoyed tennis, bowling, baseball, the University of New Mexico Lobos, and the Albuquerque Dukes.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Margaret Ann Carrillo of Trinidad, Colo.; a son, Benny Dean of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Violet Hennington of Lubbock; a brother, Loyd Franklin of Clovis, N.M.; two grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Albuquerque Christian Children's Home, 5700 Winter Haven Road, Albuquerque, NM 87120.
