Jim was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel J. and Mary (Amaral) Rose. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church, New Bedford.
Mr. Rose was previously employed by Stan & Paul's Appliance as a salesman for 28 years. Jim was an avid fan of country & western music and was proprietor of the Jim Rose D.J. Service. He was also involved with talk radio, broadcasting on W.B.S.M. in the 80's. Mr. Rose was also the announcer at Lincoln Park for a number of years and a member of the Bishop Stang Knights of Columbus, as a 3rd Degree Knight.
Survivors include his Daughter: Kelly Rose-Wells of New Bedford; Daughter-in-law: Julianne Rose-Wells of New Bedford; 1 Sister: Louise Mendoza of Dartmouth; 1 Granddaughter: Lauren Lynn Rose-Wells.
