F. J. Tinney Is Dead
Frederick J. Tinney, 75, died at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the Kelson Nursing Home on South Street where he had been a patient for several months.
Born in North Adams, he was the son of the late Jerome and Bernecia (Rice) Tinney. He came to Cheshire to make his home 30 years ago. He was employed as a farmer most of his life.
He is survived by one son, Wallace of Cheshire, one daughter, Leona Begley of New Bedford, one brother, Howard Tinney of Cheshire, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the A.C. Simmons funeral home in Adams at 1 o'clock tomorrow. Rev. Chandler M Holmes. pastor of the Cheshire Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Cheshire Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
