Theodore Claude Egesdal was born September 4, 1949 in Fort Dodge to Oliver and Helen M. Stufflebean Egesdal. He was baptized into the triune faith on July 16, 1950 at the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. On May 5, 1963 he renewed his baptismal covenant through the rite of confirmation at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pastor Kenneth Torvik officiating. He died April 11, 1971 at the Golden Acres Manor in Dows, after reaching the age of 21 years, 7 months, and 7 days.
Ted attended the Eagle Grove Schools until the time of the automobile accident 6 1/2 years ago. Since that time he has been hospitalized. He had been a patient at the Golden Acres Manor in Dows for the past 3 1/2 years.
Those who mourn his departure are his father, Oliver Egesdal of Eagle Grove and his mother, Helen Stufflebean of Fort Dodge; two brothers: Richard Allan Egesdal, Eagle Grove and Oliver James Egesdal, U.S. Navy, Chula Vista, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Egesdal, Eagle Grove and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Grace Stufflebean, Fort Dodge.
Funeral services were held April 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. W. E. Carlson officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
