John was an entrepreneur and businessman. He also designed websites for businesses and individuals. John Proudly served His Country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He is survived by his wife, Marvel Maddy of Ghent; one son: Brian Maddy of Des Moines, IA; one daughter: Renae Maddy of Des Moines, IA, two step sons: Chad Marshall of Arkansas and Leo Marshall of Tennessee; one step-daughter: Colette Lasack of Wisconsin; three brothers: Dale Maddy of Wisconsin, Wayne Maddy of Ohio and Joel Maddy of Illinois and six sisters: Rebecca Maddy of Chicago, Alice Maddy of Illinois, Clair Cook of Illinois, Vivian Roffey of Illinois, Mary Newman of Illinois and Barbara Carper of Illinois.
Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Avanti Restaurant, 238 Main Ave., Clinton, Iowa. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hope Foundation.
