HEYBURN — Lorena "Mick" Thompson, 97-year-old Heyburn resident, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.

She was born Oct. 9, 1916, in Yost, Utah, to Joseph Edward Taylor and Olive Tracy. She married Milo Peter Thompson in Brigham City, Utah, on June 25, 1938. To this union was born three daughters, Donell, Inez and Carma. They farmed in the Hazelton area till 1960 and then moved to Bliss. In 2003, she retired and moved to Heyburn and lived by her two daughters.

She is survived by three daughters, Donell Hubbell of Nampa, Idaho, Inez Thompson and Carma (George) Anderson, both of Heyburn; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Boyde (Wilma) Taylor of Malta; and four sisters-in law, Marge Glines, Helen Taylor, Edna Rassmussen and Lavoy Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband; and siblings, Uarda, Orville, Gail, Charles, Rodney "Pat," Dalton and Luana.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Morrison Funeral Home, 188 S. Highway 24 in Rupert, with George Anderson officiating. Burial will beat 3 p.m. Thursday in the Hagerman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Rupert
