Vital Records, Salem, MA, says he was married at least twice:

Oliver [of Marblehead. int.], and Louisa A. Bartlett [daughter of Bailey, Esq. of Haverhill. dup.], Nov. 27, 1831.

Educator: He graduated from Phillips Academy and Dartmouth College before teaching and holding principalships at various public and private schools in New England. He was a popular teacher in Salem from 1823-1856 and 1860-1867. Salem's Carlton Elementary School is named for him. He had previously married Margaretta Clagget and Louisa A. Bartlett.
