John H. ABRAMS, son of William and Savilla ABRAMS, was born August 15, 1851 in Monroe County, Indiana, and departed this life March 5, 1926, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David HARDEN, in Terre Haute. He was aged seventy-four years, six months and eighteen days.

He was united in marriage in 1870 to Nancy RENOLDS. To this union were born four sons and three daughters, of whom survive him only two sons and two daughters. His wife died before these children were grown.

He was again united in marriage on July 4, 1886, this time to Sarah C. GENTRY, and to this union were born two sons and one daughter. His wife preceded him in death three years ago.

Most of his life was spent in northeastern Richland Township, Greene County.

About thirty years ago he was affiliated with the Church of God at Tulip, and before his death he got a glimpse of that better world beyond and he said he was anxious to go.

He was a good neighbor; a kind and loving father.

A loving face from us has gone, a voice we loved is till a place is vacant in our lives, which never can be filled.

The remains were brought to Bloomfield last Sunday morning and the funeral party proceeded to Walnut Grove, south of Park, where funeral services were held conducted by Rev. CARNAHAN, pastor of the Eight Avenue Baptist Church, of Terre Haute. Interment in the Mood Cemetery.
