"Miss" Mary and Mr. Jimmy "Sweetman" Seagraves were known far and wide for their handcrafted cakes, sweet treats and gourmet foods. For years the Seagraves Sweet Shop, daily, with the cooperation of WJJC Radio Station would award some lucky person a special cake on the person's birthday. The Seagraves Family, with the assistance of their daughter Judy Seagraves Baxter catered an evening meal for hundreds at the Commerce Civic Center during the annual Bill Anderson "City Lights" festival. A special treat at Christmas time was Mr. Jimmy's "secret" recipe fruit cake. Before becoming chef and baker Mr. Jimmy used his talents as a radio-TV repairmen at City Radio and TV Service in Commerce.
