Ljuba Malik, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. Age 69 years. Daughter of Hanna (Dowbnja) Kowalenko and the late Iwan Kowalenko, Ljuba was born March 26, 1944 coming from Germany in 1962 with her belated husband Jan Kitolski. She then married Dymitr Malik in 1999. Ljuba was employed at Hudson's Department Store. She was a member of St. Demetrios Orthodox Church.

Surviving besides her husband Dymitr are one son and one daughter, Peter Kitolski, Wisconsin; Linda and Doug Hubbell, Saginaw; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Ferrego Sweeny, Arlington, Massachusetts; a step-son, Andrew Malik, Connecticut; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Tina and Walt Zeleniuk, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews.

Ljuba was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Rusmisel.

Funeral Service will take place 11:00 noon Wednesday December 18, 2013 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4970 Mackinaw, Saginaw. Fr. Peter Bistolarides will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
