Page 4 Death's Doings
John T. Hales, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hales, died Sunday morning after an illness of 10 months of that dread disease, consumption. Mr. Hales was an exceptionally moral young man and during the 23 years of his life he gave his parents as little trouble as any man of his age. He was conscious up to his death and expressed his willingness to meet his Maker. After the funeral at his late home by Rev. Ben Helm and Eld. W. E. Ellis his remains were taken to the cemetery and placed in the vault till the bad spell of weather is over.
