Lee B. Snyder, 86, better known as "Chub", of Glassboro passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Hummels Wharf, PA, he was the son of Lee, Sr. and Anna Snyder. He was predeceased by his wife, June, in 2005 and sister, Betty Currington, of Clayton.

Chub worked as an ink formulator for Owens-Illinois of Glassboro for 37 years. Prior to moving to Glassboro in 1953, he worked for the Pennsylvania RailRoad from 1943-1944. He proudly served his country during World War II as a T3 Staff Sergeant in Germany from 1944-1945. Chub was happiest when he was puttering in his workshop and in the yard amongst his azaleas, mowing the lawn at Manahath Cemetery, or using his metal detector on the beaches of Ocean City, NJ. He was a dedicated family man, avid outdoorsman, and animal lover. He was everybody's handyman. Despite his quiet nature, his sense of humor continued to delight family and friends until his death.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelley Petrozza (Stephen) of Glassboro; grandchildren, Kyle Petrozza of New York City and Bethany Castro (Juan) of Austin, Texas; great grandson, Jonathan Lee Castro; sister, Ruth Garrett of Sunbury, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 43 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, where friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro.
