Obituary in The Fentress Courier 9 May 2012 -- Gladys Ellis, age 95, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Cleveland, TN. Mrs. Ellis was born February 28, 1917. Mrs. Ellis is survived by three daughters, Jean Bow and husband Bob and Janice King and husband Freeman both of Jamestown and Judy Garrett of Cleveland, TN; two brothers, Wallace and Lee Hull both of Jamestown; two sisters, Hilma Schwartzentruber of Jamestown and Lois Sears of Somerset, KY; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by husband, Holland Ellis; parents, Elmer and Myrtle Tompkins Hull; son-in-law, Bob Garrett; brother, Ralph Hull and wife Elsie; infant brother, Earnest Hull; sister, Doris Grimes and husband Shine; brothers-in-law, Bill Sears and Bob Schwartzentruber; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Hull. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Phillips and Bro. Don Cross officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Helen Cemetery. Pallbearers included Scott King, Andrew King, Greg Garrett, Doug Bow, Christopher King, Paul King, Brandon Bowman, Zack Garrett and Darrin King. Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
