Nancy Honeycutt Brantley 78 of Albemarle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Friday evening, October 4, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Monday, October 7, 2013 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Darrell Furr and Rev. Kinney Wallace will officiate and burial will follow in Norwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Nancy was born January 26, 1935 in Stanly County to the late James Robert "Bo" Honeycutt and Glennie Pinion Honeycutt.

She was a homemaker and the former owner of Nancy's Flowers in Albemarle. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin Brantley, her son, Brent Almond and an infant son Aaron Almond, a brother Harry Lee Huneycutt and a sister Mary Honeycutt Snuggs.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Almond Shields and husband Tommy of Norwood. Her Grandaughter, Dana Shields Starnes and husband Ryan of Richfield, Twin Great-Grandaughters, Ryanne and Karley Starnes, a daughter-in-law Louise Almond of Ansonville. One brother, Darol Honeycutt and wife Sarah and two sisters, Fannie Watkins and Carol Gudger all of Norwood. Nieces and Nephews.
