Ada Mae Skidmore, 89 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls.
She was born on September 27, 1924 in Norman, Oklahoma to the late Elmer N. Alexander and Ranza Mae Barnard Alexander. Ada was raised in Norman, Oklahoma where she graduated for the Norman High School. She married Ambrose Arthur Skidmore Jr. on January 21, 1945 in Groveton, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 2005.
In 1979 she moved to Buncombe Creek, Kingston, Oklahoma where she did volunteer work at the Kingston Nursing Home for over 30 years. Ada was a very active member of the Texoma Southern Baptist Church in Kingston and she enjoyed traveling, crafts, sewing and spending winters in Florida.

She is survived by:
Children: James Skidmore, Holiday, Florida
Janis Skidmore Martin, Wichita Falls, Texas
Daughter in-law: Donna Rider, Clarksville, Tennessee
Grandchildren: Kimberlee Haworth, Kristin Morris, Dana Rider, Jamie Alexander, Tonya Sheplee, Terah Skidmore-North
Brother: Rayo James Alexander, Moore, Oklahoma


Ada was preceded in death by her parents, husband, the love of her life Ambrose Arthur (Art) Skidmore Jr., Her beloved son Don R. Rider, 4 brothers; Leo, Cleo, Bodie and Neal (John) Alexander.
