He was employed by Murfin Oil Company. Niernberger was a member of St. Mary's Church and the VFW. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving: His wife, at home; three sons, John at home, and Gary and David, both of Denver; one daughter, Mrs. Milton (Connie) King, Ellis; two brothers, Hal, Denver, and Leo, Hays; five sisters, Mrs. Seraphine Kuhn, Council Bluff, Iowa, Mrs. Florence Beardsley, Denver, Marietta Niernberger, Wichita, Mrs. Viola Basgall, Hays, Mrs. Mary Jean Lang, Haysville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral 10 a.m. Monday, St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Paulinus Karlin; St. Mary's Church Cemetery. Rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.

Agnes Ann "Aggie" (Langley) Niernberger, 87, Ellis, died Thursday, February 10th, 2011, at Hays Medical Center. She was born August 10th, 1923, in Detroit, Kansas, to Charles "Pete" and Teresa "Tess" (Nicholson) Langley.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie King and husband, Milton, of Ellis; son, David Niernberger and wife, Deb, of Denver, Colorado; son, John Niernberger and wife, Tamy, of Andover, Kansas; daughter-in-law Sandi Niernberger of Denver, Colorado; brother, Michael Langley and wife Maryl, of Leesburg, Florida;
