BALDWYN – Lamell C. Roberts, 92, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and spending time with her family. She retired from Baldwyn School system and she was a member of East Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 14, at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Adams officiating. Burial will be in East Mt. Zion Cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two daughters, Tommie Hopkins and Jackie Bridges (Thomas), both of Baldwyn; one son, Joe Roberts (Linda) of Baldwyn; five grandchildren, Amy Roberts Bratton, Chris Bridges, Jody Roberts, Andy Hopkins and Brandon Hopkins; and six great-grandchildren, Arylana Hopkins, Danielle Hopkins, Rossi Hopkins, Riley Hopkins, Jakob Roberts and Seth Bratton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Roberts; parents, Joe W. and Ona McFee Collum; two brothers; four sisters; one son-in-law, Donnie Hopkins; and one great-grandchild, Montana Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Jakob Roberts, Brandon Hopkins, Andy Hopkins, Jody Roberts, Chris Bridges, Frankie Collum and Donald Robinson.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
