June "JB" Bennett, 91, of Salina, died Tuesday April 30, 2013. JB was born July 25, 1921, in Divide, Colo., to Byron L. and Daisy ( Hatfield) Bennet.
JB was a World War II veteran and a member of the VFW. He was the owner of Bennet Auto Repair in Salina for many years. He drove for OCCK after retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Deloris (Hance) Bennet; sons, Douglas, Eldon and John; brothers, John Fetterolf and Chester Bennet; sister, Deloris Desaire; stepfather, Donold Fetterolf; and great-grandson, Eldon Bennet II.
JB is survived by his sons, Roger and wife Donna, of Salina, and Carlis and wife Terri, of Shenandoah, Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today, with family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Stockton Cemetery in Stockton. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the mortuary.
