Funeral services for Wm. H. Dahlberg, 78, were held Saturday afternoon in the Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin Berkeland officiating.

Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Dahlberg died Thursday evening in Trinity Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for about a week. He had been in failing health for some time and hospitalized previously.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Dr. William Dahlberg, Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. David Huseth, Eugene, Ore. and Mrs. Norman Knudsen, Hillsboro, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. P. B. Hovland, Eagle Grove, and eleven grandchildren.

Mr. Dahlberg was a long time Eagle Grove businessman. He operated a tire repair shop for many years, and later was in the garage and automobile business. He retired in 1960.

He was an active member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and for 15 years was on the board of Trinity Hospital, Fort Dodge.

The three children had been here two weeks ago but all returned for their father's funeral.

Wilhelm Hokan Dahlberg, the son of Hokan and Erika Pauline Soderdahl Dahlberg, was born July 9, 1899, at Centerville, la.

He attended school at Centerville a mechanics school at St. Paul, Minn.

On July 1, 1929, he was married to Florence Ersland of Eagle Grove at Eagle Grove. To this union three children were born: William, Helen and Karen. Florence died in 1965. On January 28, 1968, he was married to Julia Bernard Uhr of Eagle Grove at Eagle Grove. He was an automobile dealer and garage operator in Eagle Grove until he retired in 1960.

Mr. Dahlberg died Thursday, October 13, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge at the age of 78 years, three months, and four days.

Survivors include his wife, Julia; a son, Dr. William Dahlberg, Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Helen (Mrs. David) Huseth, Eugene, Ore., and Karen (Mrs. Norman) Knudson [Knudsen], Hillsboro, Mo.; a sister, Marie (Mrs. Peter) Hovland, Eagle Grove; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Florence, and a sister, Edith Christenson.

He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood, Sunday school teacher, deacon, trustee, and choir member. For 15 years he served on the Trinity Hospital board in Fort Dodge. He was also a member of the Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 15, 1977, at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Marvin A. Berkeland officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
