Alice Mary Scharoun. 88, formerly
of Second North Street, died
Friday afternoon at Hill Haven
Nursing Home after a long illness.
A native of Wilhamsiown, Mass.,
Mrs. Scharoun lived in Syracuse
since 1925 She was a communicant
of St. John the Baptist Church and
a member of its Altar and Rosary
Society She worked as a telephone
operator for Wells and Coverly 35
years, retiring in 1975.
She was the widow of Irving J
"Pete" Scharoun, who died in 1974
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara
S. Murray of Syracuse; four
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren,
and several nieces and
nephews
Services will be 9'30 am. Monday
at Keegan-Osbelt-Knight Funeral
Home, 900 N Salma St. and
10 a m. at St. John the Baptist
Church Burial will be in Assumption
Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
