John David “J.D.” Kuebler Jr. Age 85, of Kingsland, died Dec. 7, 2013.
J.D. was born April 6, 1928, in Goose Creek, Texas. He grew up in Baytown, Texas, and graduated from Lee High School. He worked at the Shell Oil Refinery in Deer Park, Texas, for 35 years.
In 1950, he married Julie Pauline Orsak, and she was the love of his life for more than 54 years. In 1988, J.D. and Julie retired to Inks Lake and enjoyed the golden years amongst many friends and family members.
J.D. was a giving, caring man and never hesitated to help a neighbor in need. His friends and family will dearly miss and long remember him.
He was preceded in death by his lovely Julie; two sons John and Jeffrey; and two sisters, Bettie Jo and Maxine.
He is survived by his son Joe (wife Tianne); grandson, Josh (wife Cony); nephew Donnie and his family; niece Suzanne and her family; and nephew Richard.
A special heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Windchime for their loving care and support.

Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Dec. 13 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767. A graveside service is 11 a.m. Dec. 14 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park with Tara Hyland officiating.
