John T. Ayers, a highly respected citizen was killed at Potomac mine on Monday morning, Jan. 13, by a fall of roof coal. The deceased was about 40 years old and leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and I.O.O.F. who attended his funeral in a body on Wednesday. The services were held in the M.E. church, Rev. Nice officiating and interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
