Joseph J. Modica, age 88, of Somonauk, IL went home to the Lord on December 8, 2010. His final days were spent surrounded by his family.

Joe was born on October 19, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Dominick and Maria (nee Rubuano) Modica. He was a decorated WWII veteran and served in General Patton's Infantry Division. He married Sadie LaPorta on November 29, 1947. They spent 63 years together and had four children. Joe loved his long career as a mechanic, but was a man of all trades. He will be missed by many.
