Lauraine A Herrman, 80, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at the Bethany Nursing Home in Lindsborg.
Lauraine was born Sept 25, 1923 in Ellis to Nick and Anna (Lang) Herman. She worked for St Mary's Catholic School Cafeteria for many years and was also employed in the Fort Hays State University Cafeteria. Lauraine was also a member of St Mary's Catholic Church.
She married Dean Lang August 20 1946 in Ellis; he died Oct 9, 1954. Lauraine married Severin Herrman May 28, 1976 in Ellis; he died July 4, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, Duane Lang, Hutchinson, and Verlyn Lang, Wichita; one daughter, Gloria Dreher, Collinsville, OK; three brothers, Ervin (Sunny) Herman, Ellis, Lawrence (Lawdy) Herman, Ellis, and Leroy Herman, westminster, CO; four sisters, Sister Annice Herman, Hays, Lydia Frank, Denver, CO, Bernice Lang, Ellis, and Rita Mae Shubert, Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Louise and Theodore and one sister, Stella Neuburger.
Services were held Monday, March 15, 2004 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Ellis with Fr Larry Letourneau officiating; burial was in St Mary's Church Cemetery, Ellis. Memorials are suggested to St Mary's Catholic School.
