Mrs. Deere, the daughter of Henry and Rhoda Elizabeth Evans Brimer, was born on June 10, 1903 in Bentley, La.
Mrs. Deere, a housewife, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kerrville, and a longtime member of the Keystone Sunday school class. She was a lifetime member and was past state commander of the D.A.V. Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George E. Ard, and her second husband, Irvin C. Deere.
Survivors include a son, Walter Ard of Kerrville; three grandchildren, Glynis Morse of Austin, Janis O'Mary of Austin, and Larry Walker of Dallas; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Jessica, Jamie and Christopher.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, at Grimes Funeral Chapel.
Private graveside services will be held. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
