She was named Florence Annie Krebs, christened "Theresa" at Our Lady of Victories Church in Pascagoula, Miss., but was given a nickname "Jessie" at age two. This nickname stuck with her and is what everyone knew her as until she was known as "Granny" by her grandchildren.

Survivors are her children, Karen Lois Woolley, of Vance, Clarence Edward Woolley, Jr. (Bonnie), of Vance, Brenda Gaye Woolley Thomas (James), of Tuscaloosa, and Patricia Ann Woolley Cox, of Cottondale; eight grandchildren, Joseph William Woolley (Stephanie), Jonathan Lee Woolley, Cary Allen Woolley (Allison), Mary Ellen Woolley Martin, James Jeffery Thomas (Judy), Eric Randall Thomas (Amy), Brandon Vincent Woolley (Michelle), and Adam Christopher Cox (Kendra); three step grandchildren, Nancy Sims (Patrick), Elizabeth French, and Leeroy McDonald (April); eleven great grandchildren, Payton McKay Woolley, Austin Chase Martin, Cherokee Lynn Ellingson-Woolley, Allison Lorraine Thomas, Greysyn Allen Thomas, Alyssa Michelle Cox, and Logan Alexander Cox; eight step grandchildren, Tyler Snow, Jasper Sims, Adrian Sims, Cody French, Colton French, Colby French, Amber French, Logan McWilliams, and Sawyer McDonald; step great-great granddaughters, Kyleigh French and Kinedi Gilbreath; her brother, Elmer Richards Krebs (Betty); and her sister-in-law, Mildred Hallman Krebs Capps.

Jessie came to Tuscaloosa with her family from Pascagoula, Miss., when her father took a job in 1937 as a lock master at Lock 12. On October 21, 1939, she married Clarence Edward Woolley, Sr., and on October 21, 1989, they celebrated their 50th anniversary. She had been a member of Circlewood Baptist Church since 1952. She moved from her home of over 50 years in Alberta to Heritage Health care on March 4, 2000. She has been cared for, loved, and pampered by the staff (Former and present) of Station 3 and Rev. George Jackson. We can't thank you enough for your loving care for these 13 years. You have always been there above and beyond for her and her family. You have become a part of her loving family. Thank you.

Also, thanks to her roommate, Dorothy Daniel, who has helped keep an eye on her these last few months. It was such a comfort to know that she was there day and night if mom needed help.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
