ANN ALICE BLOEDEL, age 84 of Tabor, IA, died Saturday, March 8, 2003 at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg, IA following a brief illness. Ann was born March 30, 1918 near Tabor, IA to Leonard Patterson and Nattie (McClure) Patterson. She worked at Glenwood State Hospital School in the dietary department for over 20 years, and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a founding member of the Tabor Public Library.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert, and 3 sisters, Phyllis, Ailene, and Gertrude. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Lane of Canon City, CO; 5 sons, Bruce Bloedel and wife Linda of Cedar Rapids, IA, David Bloedel of Seattle, WA, Brian Bloedel and wife Renee of Parksley, VA, Andrew Bloedel of Palm Springs, CA, and Paul Bloedel and wife Kathy of Tabor, IA; 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brother, Edward Patterson of Anchorage, AK; numerous nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
