Redfield - Marjorie A. Moon, 72, of Redfield died Tuesday, June 28 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 1, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Father Christopher Hughes will celebrate the mass. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in Redfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.

Marjorie was born October 12, 1932, at Turton, S.D., to Emil and Mary (Halfman) Klapperich. The family moved to Redfield in 1944 and to St. Lawrence in 1946. She graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1950.

Marjorie and Vincent K. Moon, son of V. Arthur and Viola (Turner) Moon, were married January 6, 1951, in Miller. They lived in Rapid City, St. Lawrence and Huron before moving to Redfield in 1968. They owned and operated Andersen Cleaners, where Marge was a seamstress. They retired in 1994, and Vince died May 1, 1996. Marge continued sewing until her death and will be remembered for her talents as a great seamstress.

Marge was a member of St. Bernard's Church, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, reading and cooking.

Marge is survived by her children: Christine (Steve) Dvorak of Spearfish, S.D., Paula Wipf of Aberdeen, S.D., Thomas (Jackie) Moon of Northfield, Minn., Susanne (Duke) Dukart of Fargo, N.D., Tim (Rose) Moon of Milton, Fla., Diane (Daniel) Schultz of DeSmet, S.D., Jill (Tracy) Schroeder of Redfield, S.D., and Bill Moon of Sacramento, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Delores Hamilton of Redfield, S.D., Ethel Hagan of Orient, S.D., Phyllis Merrill of Kearney, Neb., and Rosie (Art) Foerster of Kearney, Neb.; and three brothers: Robert (Arlene) Klapperich of Lincoln, Neb., Donald (Donna) Klapperich of Rapid City, S.D., and Mike (Gelia) Klapperich of Ann Arbor, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vince, one brother, Phillip, one sister, Joanne F. McGirr, October 30, 1999, and two great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers will be Marge's grandchildren: Neil and Alison Wipf, Teresa (Jeremy) Gallagher, Brent and John Dvorak, Bobby (Misty) Moon, Ben and Peter Moon, Josh and Amanda Dukart, Heather (Chris) Vanyo, Stefan and Tony Schroeder and Sara and Jay Schultz.
